Mookaite Jasper and Amber Glass Bead Necklace, 20”

Mooka Creek Station, Australia is the place to be if you want to find Mookaite Jasper.  The faceted pendant is over 1 ½ inches by 1” wide and nearly ½ an inch thick. Combined with the translucent embers of 8mm faceted Czech glass beads and Swarovski crystals in Light Topaz and Olivine. The clasp is a sterling silver lobster clasp. Mookaite is of the Chalcedony family of cryptocrystalline quartz commonly found in fossilized cavities of decomposed belemnite casts. Many spellings and pronunciations of Mookaite exist but it is all derived from a sheep ranch in Western Australia. Mookaite comes in combinations of mottled crimson, red, pink, yellow and cream all in one specimen.  A beautiful stone for the birth months of Autumn.
